The Conrad P. Foss Live Period Academic Showcase is underway from the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, FL. Collegiate coaches from across the country and from all levels were in attendance. Here are some of the standouts from the 2027 class from the event.

Samfree Sarante (2027) Miami Palmetto: Sarante has good size and length at 6’4” and impacts the game on both ends. Defensively, he has active hands that led to multiple-steal games, can block shots, and moves his feet well. Offensively, he scores from all three levels and in a variety of ways. In the games charted, he averaged 20 points and made eight three-pointers. He also recorded multiple assists and is a threat in transition, whether finishing the break himself or setting up teammates.

Sebastian Madera (2027) Miami Palmetto: Madera is a 6’7 presence that plays bigger than he is and must be accounted for. He rebounds the ball at a high clip on both ends, scores around the basket through contact and with a soft touch. Defensively he alters and blocks shots, plays from the floor to the ceiling and without fouling. He runs the floor well, has good footwork and is a talented passer. In the games we observed he averaged a double-double with points and rebounds.

Mark Dadlani (2027) Lake Highland Prep: Dadlani is a 6’3 guard who moves well without the ball, can score off the dribble and gets others involved. His ability to create for himself and for teammates allows him to be a dangerous threat from the perimeter. In two games we observed he tallied seven three-pointers while averaging 17 points and multiple assists. His standout game was a 24-point effort with timely shooting as Lake Highland defeated Coral Glades in a tight game.

Anthony Brown (2027) Boca Ciega: Brown plays with toughness all over the floor, especially in the paint. At 6’6”, he is a strong presence on the glass, can create off the dribble, and shows touch around the rim and from mid-range. He also communicates well defensively and contests shots consistently. His standout performance was a 19-point, multi-rebound effort in a win over Booker T. Washington.

Nate Accius (2027) Coral Glades: Accius is a 6’5” athlete who showed improved touch from mid-range while continuing to finish at the rim through contact and with forceful dunks. His energy is unmatched, as he consistently outworked opponents on both ends by extending possessions offensively and creating live-ball turnovers that turned defense into offense. In the two games observed, he averaged 16.5 points. In one game charted, he posted 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists.

Denver Turner (2027) Mater Lakes Academy: Turner is a 6’3 guard who is stronger and quicker than he first appears. He uses a quick first step to get past defenders, finishes through contact, and can also knock down perimeter shots. He controls the pace well, has a strong feel of the game in the open floor while consistently keeping the ball in the middle. His length along with his on-ball defensive pressure creates problems for opponents. In the two games observed, he averaged 13 points with multiple assists and steals while helping Mater Lakes Academy go 4-0 at the event.

Gavin Reed (2027) Coral Glades: Reed continues to round out his game. The relentless guard can take over at any moment with his perimeter shooting and has improved his ability to create space and get his shot off against tougher defenders. He also brings strong defensive energy, consistently jumping passing lanes, forcing deflections, and sacrificing his body when needed. Reed’s standout game of the weekend was a 19-point effort with a pair of three-pointers in a tight loss to Lake Highland Prep. He averaged 17.5 points in the games we observed and connected in five three-pointers.
