FABC Girls Showcase Day 2 Standouts

College coaches packed the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, FL, as the Conrad P. Foss Live Period Academic Girls Showcase tipped off with high-level talent on display. With prospects from multiple classes competing at a high intensity, Day 2 delivered strong performances across the board. Here’s a look at several standout players.

Aubrey Griffin (2028) Lake Highland Prep: Griffin is an agile high-level 6’0 forward who embraces top competition and impacts the game on both ends in a variety of ways. She moves well defensively, uses active hands to generate steals, and consistently guards the opponent’s top player. Offensively, she’s a threat from the perimeter with a smooth shooting stroke (6 three-pointers made through 3 games), can create off the dribble, finish at the rim and is willing passer. Through three games, her standout performance includes 19 points, 7+ rebounds, and 4 steals in a win over Holy Trinity Episcopal.

Gabi Iturralde (2027) Tocoi Creek: Iturralde is a tough, fearless lead guard who consistently controls tempo and makes winning plays. She puts pressure on the defense off the dribble and can score from the perimeter. Defensively, she brings strong on- and off-ball energy, moves her feet well, and creates turnovers. In transition, she keeps the ball in the middle and makes good reads. Through three games, she has two 20-point performances and is averaging just under 18.6 points with multiple assists and steals.

Jasmine Horne (2027) McArthur: Horne is a versatile 6’0” forward who produces consistently on both ends. She plays strong in the post with a soft touch, finishes with either hand, and plays through contact. She can also face up, handle the ball in the half court or open floor, and knock down midrange shots. A reliable rebounder and active defender, she protects the rim and runs the floor well, even initiating the break. Through three games, she’s averaging 17+ points and 7+ rebounds with consistent defensive production.

Deyvn Godfrey (2029) Jupiter: Godfrey is a long, athletic wing with strong instincts and a high motor who projects well at the next level. She moves effectively without the ball, shows a high basketball IQ, and creates opportunities for teammates. She rebounds well, competes for loose balls, and defends consistently. Offensively, she has produced at a high level, including a 22-point performance vs. IMG, where she scored 12 of her team’s first 16 points. Through three games we observed, she is averaging 18.6 points. Continued development of her overall skill set will further elevate her ceiling and recruitment potential.

Lilly Sanchez (2027) Lake Highland Prep: Sanchez is a lively, steady, high-IQ point guard who runs a team effectively and consistently makes the right decisions. She excels at engineering the offense, creating opportunities for teammates in both the half court and transition. She is a selective but efficient scorer, capable of knocking down perimeter shots and attacking to finish in the lane. Through three games, she is averaging 8.6 points (high of 14) while adding multiple assists, steals, and impactful two-way play.

Leila Bryant (2029) Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy: Bryant is a highly ranked guard- with continued development- projects well at the next level with her poise, pace, and consistent production against top competition. She is a true three-level scorer, capable of making shots off the catch and dribble while converting difficult shots and making them look easy as they tickle the twine. Despite facing the opponents’ top defenders, she averaged 18 points and knocked down five threes, while also contributing on the glass in two games we observed. She competes on every possession, brings defensive intensity, and consistently makes winning plays.
