The Conrad P. Foss Live Period Academic Girls Showcase is underway at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, FL, drawing college coaches from across Florida and the country at every level. Here are several standouts from Day 1, featuring players from across all classes.

Isabella Aloisio (2028) American Heritage Plantation: The reigning4A Player of The Year had multiple Division 1 coaches taking notes on her play on Thursday. Aloisio plays within the team structure, displays a good shooting touch from multiple areas on the floor, gets others involved, is a quality defender and show outstanding leadership on the floor. Over two games she averaged 15 points, connected on eight three-pointers in a pair of wins from American Heritage Plantation.

Brooklyn O’Gallagher (2027) Hagerty: O’Gallagher plays with a ton of confidence. She is an excellent ballhandler that can create space to get her shot off or to get to the basket. She consistently hit mid-range shots which opened driving lanes, allowing her to either finish at the rim or dump it off to a teammate for an easy assist. She plays the passing lanes, moves her feet and defends without fouling defensively. O’Gallagher’s highlight of the day was tallying 17 points in a win over Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Summer Eberhart (2027) Valdosta, GA: Eberhart works well in the post. Correction Eberhart commands the post with her agile 6’2 frame. The natural right hander keeps defenders off balance as she scores with either hand, over either shoulder, and has sound footwork in the painted area. She rebounds at a high level, runs the floor and plays hard-nosed defense. In two games on Thursday, she averaged near a double-double in points (16ppg) and rebounds (8-plus) and made he presence felt all day on both ends.

Gabrielle Mallory (2028) Ribault: Mallory impacts the game in a variety of ways. Offensively she has soft touch around the rim, can hit the mid-range and can drive off the dribble. She rebounds well and makes the extra pass. Defensively she alters shots, walls up in the post and defends on the perimeter against all positions. Her defense forced multiple live ball turnovers for opponents. In her opening game we charted, she tallied 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Kendall Proffitt (2028) St. Johns Country Day: Proffiitt had a 22-point effort with multiple Division 1 coaches on hand. At 6’0 she does just about everything. She handles the ball, rebounds, defends, hits the floor, puts it in the basket and continues to uplift her team with outstanding leadership. Proffitt scores off the dribble, off the catch, shoots it well from the perimeter as shown with four three-pointers in the contest we observed.

Yinuo Wang (2027) American Heritage Plantation: Wang is the prime example of “big things come in small packages”. Wang, at 5’5”, makes defenses pay for leaving her open as she bottomed out six three-pointers over two games while averaging 13 points. When she is not being left open, she is moving off the ball, slithering inside the defense to score or assist. She gives opponents fits on defense when she digs down to get strips and steals and gets on the floor for 50/50 balls. Wang is a high IQ player that will make you pay for losing her.

Breanna Smith (2029) Episcopal School Of Jacksonville: At 6’2 Smith is an outstanding rebounder, finishes at the rim with a soft touch, and possesses good strength to finish through contact. Defensively she communicates, plays from the floor to the ceiling and always is in good rebounding position. In a tough loss to Hagerty she tallied a double-double that featured eight points directly from offensive rebounds. As Smith continues to develop, she will be a prospect to keep eyes on.
