The second and final FABC Conrad P. Foss Live Period Boys Showcase of June opened Friday at the Alachua County Sports & Entertainment Center in Gainesville. Teams from across Florida will compete throughout the weekend in front of college coaches from every level. Here are some notable standouts.

Arik Ring (2029) Victory Christian Lakeland: The 6’11” Ring showed clear interior impact and long‑term upside. He runs the floor well, finishes above the rim, and flashes a developing mid‑range touch. Defensively, he anchored the paint with active rim protection and strong rebounding. His second‑half production (13 of 15 points and 4 blocks) in a come-from-behind win highlighted his ability to adjust and impact winning late. He earned a Florida A&M offer, and with continued growth in feel and processing, more recruiting interest should follow.

Calvin Laing Jr. (2027) FSU High: Laing Jr is a 6’4 wing that scores in a variety of ways and sometimes makes it look so easy. Laing can score off the bounce, off the catch, and through contact. He can shoot it with consistency from multiple areas of the floor. He showed his scoring versatility with a 28-point effort in his opening game of the event. He makes impactful plays defensively and is a quality rebounder.

Isaiah Bridges (2030) Highlands Christian: Bridges is 6’4” and a talented lefty point guard with tremendous upside. As an 8th grader last season, he led Highland Christian in scoring and assists. He emphasized playmaking across two games, posting near double‑digit assists, handling pressure with poise, and keeping turnovers low. He scored when needed in a variety of ways. He was a pest on defense racking up multiple steals in both games on the day. Keep eyes on Bridges. As he continues to develop, he should continue to rise as he develops.

Timothy Thurman (2027) Lehigh: Thurman has standout size and length at 6’8″, and he consistently impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he is a downhill slasher who finishes through contact, must be accounted for in the mid‑range, and stays active on the offensive glass. Defensively, his timing and discipline allow him to block shots without fouling, and even the attempts he does not block he alters with his length and activity. In two games we observed, Thurman averaged 16 points, nearly 7 rebounds, and recorded 6 blocks, displaying his ability to influence winning with energy, and versatility.

Christian Fuller (2027) Victory Christian Lakeland: Fuller continues to show improvement. He is an excellent ballhandler, attacks to finish at the rim and is a quality shooter. Fuller hit seven three-pointers and averaged 14.5 points across two games. Defensively, he brings consistent activity, sound footwork, and natural competitiveness. Fuller picked up an offer from St. Leo University by the end of the day. Additional interest is likely as he keeps sharpening his all‑around game.

Jolani ‘King’ McMillian (2028) Hilliard: McMillian is a 6’4 hybrid wing with translatable scoring versatility. He can space the floor as a catch-and-shoot threat, move well without the ball, and attack closeouts off the bounce. Over two games, he bottomed out seven three-pointers from different areas on the floor and averaged 18.5 points. Defensively, his length causes problems in passing lanes, as a shot-contester, and on the glass.
